Farmington Hills, MI - Fenruary 5, 2010 - HPR planned and executed a grand opening celebration for an ambitious public housing development and coordinated media relations for the Detroit Housing Commission. Formerly known as Herman Gardens, the housing development stood vacant and lifeless for more than a decade. When complete, Gardenview Estates will feature 833 new housing units including a state-of-the-art NFL/Youth Education Towns Boys and Girls Club, a park with flowers and benches, and a pristine water feature. The event drew more than 400 people, included various dignitaries and featured authentic Detroit cuisine and resulted in significant media coverage. Overall, the event was a huge success for the city of Detroit.
